These types exist:

Forklift attachments make a real all-rounder out of your forklift truck operational capabilities. Most of the simple mounted forklift attachments are available in all possible styles and vast options. A forklift can be used as a multi-purpose and versatile machine, for example, in the winter for snow removal or transportation of unwanted materials. It can also be used as a personal carrier and add work platforms attachments. Attachments are available for common forklift trucks, telescopic forklifts, container handlers and side loaders, with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drive. The capacity of the forklift will vary depending on how heavy the attachment is. Caution should always be exercised when using various attachments by taking into account their centre of gravity. Forklifts equipped with attachments should be only operated by an experienced driver.

Push Pull

Abschieber

Load push units are designed for the pushing of loads on the forks or platform. These attachments are usually very easy to assemble and can be moved together with the backing plates under the load to be transported.

Clamps

Bale Clamps

The bale clamp engages the load with the two brackets and is ideally suited for accommodating load such as boxes or machine parts. Bale clamps are available with integrated side shift and can be turned up to 360 degrees.

Pole Tine Clamps

A pole tine clamps consists of two rods which can be placed in the direction of the moving load such as rollers or drums. Many models come with a side shift.

Drum Clamps

The drum clamp is an attachment for transporting drums. It consists of two clamping arms which are adapted to the shape of a drum. They are able to rotate and tilt to the front. There are also drum clamps which can simultaneously handle two barrels.

Attachment Clamp

Attachment clamps are devices used while transporting goods on a truck. Attachment clamps come in different styles and fits on various devices.

Harbour Clamps

For port operations there is the harbor clamp attachment which is equipped as a true all-rounder for the challenges existing in the port environment. Harbor clamps can be integrated with side shift.

Appliance Clamp

Appliance clamps are available in rigid and flexible version. Their main task is to transport and stacking pallets of goods without pallets. Goods such as washing machines, refrigerators and televisions can be safely transported with appliance clamps. Like many other attachments they also come with side shifts.

Clamp for Cement Pipes

The cement pipe clamp is designed for transporting and storing cement pipes with heavy trucks. Most devices have a built-in safety device which measures the pressure in the pipes, thus preventing membrane damage and damage to the load.

Paper Roll Clamp

The paper roll clamp is suitable for lifting horizontal or vertical paper rolls in a large range of diametres. The thin profile contact pad arms prevent damage to the rolls and allow for compact stacking and retrieving. The clamp uses a rotator with direct worm/ring gear drive and clutch brake system. The 360° rotation prevents damage when placing rolls down onto surfaces that are not level. There are also models with a split arm for simultaneous handling of two rolls. The slim-designed arms prevent damage. Paper roll clamps are available with 180° and 360° rotation.

Pipe Clamps

The pipe clamp is designed for transporting and storing pipes with heavy trucks. Most devices have a built-in safety device which measures the pressure in the pipes, thus preventing membrane damage and damage to the load.

Brick and Block Clamps

These are three-pronged fork clamp attachments for forklifts. They are used mainly in transportation of bricks and concrete blocks.

Tobacco Bale Clamps

The tobacco clamp is used to secure brackets and cardboard bales of tobacco loads. The thin blade arms enable an easy functionality of the brackets and allows for a tight stacking. The integrated side shift forks enable a safe and lateral displacement of the load.

Rotator

A rotary device on the truck makes a 360 degree rotation of the carrier. Most models of rotating equipment for trucks have a side shift, also called a lateral thrust.

Box Discharging Units

A box discharge units is ideally suited to empty a container quickly and easily. This type of mounting device can turn a container up to 360 degrees.

Barrel Lifter

These are used for stacking, carrying and emptying barrels. Barrel lifters are available in mechanical or hydraulic versions and can be ordered with scale and rotation. There are different barrel drum lifter designs that can fit the material of the barrel.

Forks

Forks are one of the most sought attachments. For example, increased length means increase in the lifting capacity compared with standard forks. Special versions, such as coated or explosion-proof forks are not uncommon.

Fork Extensions

Fork extensions are used to lengthen the effective length of the supporting forks. These are used for the occasional transport of long loads so the purchase of new longer forks is normally not worthwhile.

Fork Clamps

Operate both as a clamp and a fork positioner. Awkward loads, such as crates, bales & tyres can be clamped between the forks. The ability to position the forks speeds pallet handling and reduces wear and tear on the pallets. It can be used to lift all conventional pallets, wide loads and clamp loads not on pallets, either with the forks alone or with slip-on arms for brick/blocks, drums, bales etc. The continuous rotation in either direction adds to the handling options.

Multi-pallet handler

Multi pallet handler forks allow for the transportation of two pallets, as well as multiple forks for transporting up to three pallets. They are a hydraulic attachment for forklifts.

Hydraulic Telescopic Fork Arms

These attachments are ideal for the solution of many transportion and loading applications. Trucks can be loaded and unloaded from one side. The telescopic forks can be supplied with or without pallet stops and the forks can be slide forward under the load.

Fork Positioners

Fork positioners are amongst the most popular attachments on the market. Many manufacturers make various different types with different widths. Fork positioner allows unlimited use of the device regardless of the width of the forklift to transport the load.

Load Extenders

With load extenders, loads can be extracted from the 2nd row by extending the shear (eg, single-sided loading and unloading of trucks, cars and double racks). They can be mounted to the appropriate load attachments. To compensate any inaccuracies side shifts are available.

Pedestrian Sweeper

Used for the sweeping and cleaning mainly streets, buildings or parking lots – your truck can be transformed into a cleaning machine using a sweeper using the right sweeper attachments which are available with various disc sizes so the right type is found every time for the right use.

Shovels

Tilting Device with Shovel

In this type of attachment, the showel can be tilted forwards and backwards. The tipping buckets are usually operated by a hydraulic system.

Hydraulic Scoops

Hydraulics scoops are mounted on the carriage of the truck. It is suitable for the lifting and transportation of sand, gravel and other loose material. They come in a rigid design, but also with manual or hydraulic operation.

Load Push-Pulls

Mainly used as a sliding clamp for loading and unloading goods in containers on space-saving cardboard or synthetic slip-sheets. The slip-sheet and load are pulled on to the fixed platen by a front gripper bar mechanism. This load push pull is equipped with entry pockets on both sides and can simply and quickly be mounted on to the existing truck forks. They are available for forks or platforms.

Cranes

Jib Crane

With this attachment you can use your forklift as a crane. They are available in swivel and rigid design. The current carrying capacity is weighing between 2,500 kgs and 4,000 kgs. However, there are devices with a higher capacity.

Telescopic Jib Crane

This attachment enables your forklift to act as a mini-crane. The boom is secured to the mast by fork retaining bolts. The crane hook is located on the boom and can be operated at different heights. The telescopic crane hooks have a rigid rotor and come with 2 or more hooks.

Load Stabilizers

They stabilise the transport of goods from the top of the forks enabling safe and fast transport over uneven terrain. The loading time is reduced significantly with an integrated side shift. They are coated with rubber paddings to prevent damage to the load, moreover, the pressure exerted on the load is applied gradually.

Persons Basket

These are used to perform works at high heights. Most of the personal basket comes with a capacity of 300 kgs. The inclusion of persons baskets carried on the forks, of course, each basket is firmly secured to prevent any accidents.

Round Timber Clamp

The round timber clamp, also called timber grab, enables the lifting and transporting of timber logs. A distinction is made between an ordinary log grab with adjustable arms and a single-arm grab. The adjustable timber grab is more appropriate to when work changes in between using the forks and there is no need to remove the timber. The single-armed grab is mainly used to hold the load and preventing the timber rolling off. The timber grabs are operated hydraulically and are mostly used in the forestry industry and wood processing.

Snow Plough

Snow plough can be effectively used in winter to push snow without any additional cost. Installation is performed easily by entering tabs on the snow slide.

Sideshift

Sideshift

Sideshifts are used to move the load carrier in a specific direction. The Sideshift is a hydraulic attachment for forklift trucks. It moves forks horizontally on the fork carriage and enables exact pick-up or depositing of the loads in tight spots. They can be single sideshifter where both forks are moved simultaneously either to the right or the left or multiple sideshifter which enables the pick-up of several pallets sitting next to each other at the same time. Forks are moved independently of each other to the right or the left.

Tri-lateral Heads

Used as an attachment in front of forklifts to enable the user and machine to work in narrow places and aisles as side loader. The carrier has a lateral shift device with one or two vertical axes that are rotated and moved across to the mast. You can store and retrieve pallets and containers from the shelves sideways with the normal side shift device. Also the pivoting side push device is also adapted to receive the load from the front or move forward. Often a special mast is necessary to counteract the weight involved.
